GET TO KNOW HALEY
Born and raised on a second-generation farm in Newberg, in the heart of the Willamette Valley, Haley served as an estate host at Gran Moraine before becoming our Concierge. She thrives on sharing her passion for her “backyard,” especially with those new to the area. She also knows quite a bit about the area’s real estate, having been a licensed realtor who specialized in the Willamette Valley and Portland area for seven years. Haley loves keeping a pulse on happenings in the valley and only recommends activities or places that she has experienced.
What is it like to help someone dream up a great vacation plan?
It’s exciting and rewarding to help make their vacation dreams into reality. The entire process feels intimate. I love the creativity in making itineraries and suggesting my favorite spots. I’m here to remove the planning stress so our guests can be fully present in their experiences. When schedules permit, I love meeting our guests in person. It’s my favorite, full-circle moment.
Do you have a go-to wine?
Do I have to choose? I love all wines from the Willamette Valley. I am currently vibing with crisp Oregon Chardonnays!
What are some of your favorite spots in wine country?
I love driving through the Dundee Hills and taking in the views – they paint such a story. I tell guests that they must stop at Red Hills Market for lunch: the wood-fired Jojo potatoes and turkey sandwich are my favorites. Also, I highly recommend Third Street in downtown McMinnville for shopping, art, tasting rooms, and restaurants.
Is there an exquisite experience in your 2024 plans?
I am dying to try the newly opened Pinch restaurant in McMinnville.
Do you have pets or hobbies?
I have a mini Australian Shepherd named Ada, who is me in dog form! When I’m not working or out tasting wine in the valley, I am riding and showing horses. I show on the Paint Horse circuit, traveling the nation and competing in the “All Around,” which comprises eight events. I currently rank #1 for Rookie of the Year (nationwide) and #2 for Amateurs. I ride both English and Western styles.
