2006 WillaKenzie Yamhill-Carlton District Pinot Meunier ($23): You might say that pinot meunier is Oregon's Cinderella grape. Always outshone by its more famous cousin, pinot noir, pinot meunier can be the belle of the ball in its own right. WillaKenzie has Oregon's largest single planting, even though that's just four acres. With its berry-ish qualities and drink-now accessibility, this is an ideal summer red when served slightly cool.
